Recognition

Commonly used in connection with the recognition by one state of 1) the existence of another state (for example when a new one is formed), or 2) the existence of a government which is in effective control of a state. The term "de facto recognition" means recognition that a state, or a government of a state, in fact exists - but it also means the withholding of full official recognition of this. When the latter is extended, it is termed "de jure recognition". It is a distinction based more on diplomatic convenience than on logic.



به رسمیت شناختن

این کلمه بطور عام در ارتباط به رسمیت شناختن یک کشور از 1) موجودیت کشور دیگری (مثلاً زمانیکه کشور جدیدی بوجود می آید)، و یا 2) موجودیت دولتی که امور یک کشور را بطور مؤثر در کنترول دارد. اصطلاح "شناسایی عملی" به معنی پذیرفتن موجودیت یک کشور و یا یک دولت می باشد که واقعاً وجود دارد، ولی این اصطلاح همچنان به معنی عدم به رسمیت شناختن یک دولت به طور رسمی می باشد. زمانیکه منظور از عدم به رسمیت شناختن باشد، بیشتر به آن اصطلاح" به رسمیت شناختن قانونی / حقوقی" می گویند. این تفاوت بیشتر مبتنی به اصول دیپلماتیک می باشد نه منطق.
